About the Innovation Lab

The Innovation Lab is where we develop and refine our methods as we navigate and work with complex systems and the profound challenges facing society. It's a space to experiment, learn and make meaning collectively as we seek to meet and interact with key problems and solutions at the forefront of societal change.

In the Lab, we’re able to experiment by creating an intentional space to inquire into the paradigms, beliefs, socialized behaviors and wounds afflicting society, on both a collective and an individual level.

Anyone who’s spent time working with teams knows that group dynamics are often hidden, subtle and implicit. The Lab is a place where the invisible becomes valued alongside and complementary to the tangible, to concrete actions. Through learning from and reflecting with each other, and through participatory inquiry, collective dialogue and action research, we focus on creating a shared knowledge culture –– a set of tools and approaches for when and how to apply these practices in different contexts.

We call it a Lab because it’s like our internal kitchen. It’s a place where we take material that’s harvested from our diverse engagements and our learning community, across many different contexts and countries. After a process of cooking, distilling and refining, we offer these tools and support structures back to partners and practitioners working in the field. We then update our service offers accordingly.
