Relating to Land and Place: An Applied Working Group (4 sessions)

4 part series: applied working group

Day and time: Tuesday at 11am PST (San Francisco) / 2pm EST (New York) / 8pm CET (Berlin) / 9pm EET (Greece)

Dates: March 15th, April 12th, May 10th, June 14th*

The applied working group is dedicated to enhancing and fostering meaningful relationships and actions with land, place and people, by working with the unique opportunities and challenges of each context.

The circle welcomes people dedicated to land-based projects and topics such as community and land development, land restoration, ownership and stewardship and regenerative agriculture from across the world and invites cross-cultural and  transnational conversations to build a culture of care.

This space is a dedicated time to give voice to the difficulties and sensitive aspects, to help make the edges softer together, and be encouraged to build the conditions for doing this important work, such as cultivating capacities as individuals and teams to be with “what is” or stay centered amidst complexity.

The working group will be facilitated by Collective Transitions and everyone is invited to co-shape and co-create where desired.

During the 4 part-series, we will:

  • Learn and apply approaches and tools to relate with land including how to:

    • Relate and listen to land and place as a source of information,

    • Understand hidden dynamics and how they may show up across scales (internally and externally) and time.

    • Explore root causes and trauma-informed patterns.

    • Sensemake as a collective across contexts and scales.

  • Hear each other's questions, successes and struggles and learn from and with each other.

  • Engage in small group conversations and exercises to support each other.

  • Forge emergent pathways forward with aligned actions
